Tutors For Kids Webmail System

All School Tutor Coordinators (STCs) and Board Members will be assigned a “tutorsforkidsinc.org” email account.  Your email address will be in the format of “” (notice the “dot” or period between the First Name and Last Name).  This email account should be used for ALL correspondence related to your activities with Tutors For Kids.  You should NOT use your personal email account for Tutors For Kids related emails.  In the event someone sends a Tutors For Kids related email to your personal email account, forward that email to your “tutorsforkidsinc.org” email account and continue all related correspondence from that account.

Selecting the RoundCube Email Client

Technically our webmail supports a number of email clients (programs designed to access email systems).

You must select “RoundCube”.  We will only be providing training and support for the RoundCube email client.  RoundCube is a very robust email client that supports all the mail reading, creation and management you will need.

Underneath the RoundCube email client you will see an option to “Enable AutoLoad”.  We highly recommend selecting this option as it will save you time in loading the program.  If you click on the “Enable AutoLoad” link you will be taken to a window where you can confirm and configure the time delay before the RoundCube loads (the default is 5 seconds.)  We recommend not setting this lower than three as the may be time when you want to “Stop” the auto load and perform another function such as “Change Password”.

Once you click the “enable AutoLoad” button you will see the configuration/confirm window:

Click “OK” to confirm.  You will then be taken to the RoundCube mail screen.

Working with the RoundCube email Client

RoundCube has a great deal of functionality and we will only address the very basics here.  The interface is fairly easy to navigate and performs all of the standard mail functions you would expect.  You can read,  “Compose” (create email), Send, Forward, Reply, Create Folders and much more.  For a detailed overview of RoundMail you can access the user information on-line by going to the Menu: Email > Email Info > RoundMail User’s Guide or clicking HERE.

Reading an Email in RoundCube

All you have to do is double-click on any email and it will open in a viewer window to Read.  From this window you can Reply, Forward or Delete.  you can also Delete emails by clicking/selecting any email(s) in the list and then hitting the “Delete” trashcan button at the top of the window.

Creating/Editing Emails in HTML

By default, RoundCube is set to create emails as “Plain Text” (no formatting such as Font, Font Size, bold, color, etc.)  You can change this default to a rich WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) HTML editor by taking the following steps:
